S. Lynne Pulford began her 33-year career at Sandy Spring Bank as a mortgage loan processor and rose through the ranks to her current role as the Division Executive of Mortgage. She oversees 110 Bank employees in the mortgage division, and she takes pride in knowing she has helped thousands of individuals and families achieve home ownership.
Given her deep understanding of the people and communities the Bank serves, Ms. Pulford has led the development of several special mortgage programs. Of note, the Civil Servant Loan program provides affordable financing options for law enforcement officers, firefighters, public and private school employees, paramedics and active duty, reserve or retired military service members. She also helped create a First Time Homebuyer program, which provides affordable and flexible options to meet most new homebuyers’ needs throughout the Greater Washington region.
In addition to serving as a Trustee of the Sandy Spring Bank Foundation, Ms. Pulford is a member of the National Association of Home Builders Professional Women in Building, the American Bankers Association's Mortgage Markets Committee, and the Maryland and Metropolitan Washington Mortgage Banking Associations. In 2018, the Maryland Bankers Association Council of Professional Women in Banking and Finance recognized Ms. Pulford with the GOLD award for her exemplary leadership and commitment to community.
